Founded in 2012, ByteDance is a technology company operating a range of content platforms that inform, educate, entertain, and inspire people across languages, cultures, and geographies.

With a suite of more than a dozen products, including TikTok, Douyin, Toutiao, Helo, and Resso, ByteDance now has a portfolio of applications available in over 150 markets and 75 languages.

Our AR Platform enables visual effects and augmented reality experiences in ByteDance's creation and consumption pipelines, including but not limited to creative video editing capabilities, camera filters, and AR camera effects.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to help us build the testing tools and infrastructure for the ByteDance AR Platform. As a member of the QA team, you will be defining our product quality strategy and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our latest AR capabilities, graphics, audio and video algorithms.

• Be responsible for the entire system testing process, including but not limited to: analysis, designing and executing test plans and cases, and conducting defect tracking;
• Work on project management, risk management, and process management tasks;
• Help implement test tools and collaborate with automation/performance test teams to build up internal tools/frameworks/platforms to make the team more productive.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in a relevant field: Computer Engineering or EE;
• Familiar with Java/Python/Objective-C/Golang, experience in related projects development;
• 2+ years of experience with API testing;
• Familiar with web architecture, understanding of Django/Flask and other frameworks is preferred;
• Familiar with Redis, NSQ, Zero-MQ, Kafka, Docker, K8s, Hive, Spark;
• Excellent problems solving skills, ability to coordinate with different local and global teams;
• Strong passion for mobile internet and building next generation mobile applications, can take full responsibility for end to end service.
