On our New Product Experiences Hack Pillar team, you will be working on The Global Historical Archive (GHA) project which strives to leverage virtual reality to promote education and travel as well as to create connections between existing platforms on Web and mobile with the Metaverse.As a Program Manager on our GHA product, you will support an internal and external set of teammates focused on enabling people to defy distance and engage with global heritage in VR. In this role, you have the opportunity to support talented cross-functional teammates in creating interactive virtual reality experiences, coming together across cultures, and supporting the future of how people engage with culturally and historically significant sites around the world. More specifically, you will support content and operations in the following ways:Content: identifying content opportunities, liaising with content experts, building processes and tools for capturing and vetting the content, concepting and designing mechanisms for delivering the content in both VR and traditional mediums, leveraging existing and creating tooling for delivering the content within these mediums.Operations: supporting the operational backbone of our GHA product and team including contributions to managing partnerships, navigating internal reviews and procedures, and developing improved organizational operations over time.

Program Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develops framework to execute delivery of a program with the right level of process.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop best practices in a changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery.
  • Coordinate and contribute to deliverables, including specifications and test plans.
  • Ability to work with different teams and program manage requirement integration and architecture updates.
  • Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review.
  • Facilitate solutions for complex business problems in terms of people, processes, and partnerships to enable Org and or Team priorities and deliver best-in-class partner experience.
  • Develop schedules, identify critical paths and bottlenecks and maintain execution throughout the duration of partner programs.
  • Support communication within and between business leaders representing across business and technology groups.
  • Own the outcomes by being the face of the program or programs managed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of project or program management experience.
  • Experience supporting products or programs from inception to delivery.
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
  • Communication skills and experience working with and advising technical product teams including capturing concepts and communicating them back to stakeholders.
  • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in a creative field (film, media, etc.), or equivalent.
  • Formal project management and/or sprint facilitation certification.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams of 5+ individuals.
  • Strong interest and/or experience in the heritage product space.
  • Strong interest and/or experience in community building.
